Long time since my last journal. whoops.

Hope everyone had a great christmas and new year, mine were both lovely, spent the former at home and the latter at Toby's house.

So, nothing much has really happened lately. umm, lets see. Me and Toby got back together, I went to my first work party which was nice, and i got some nice gifts over ye olde holiday season.

I'm so proud of the whole team to see it all put together, and altho i put very little into this scene myself its still very nice to be able to point out the bits i coloured XD

Ummm without adding in any negatives, thats about it i think. I dont have any resolutions yet, im still thinking what to go with. XD Maybe ill post another journal for that later. In the meantime, have an end of year meme i stole from ~S-tygian





What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
I actually revised for exams. Yes, that is a first for me. and i got an A (for Japanese) which is also new. XD


Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I think i kept one of them for a while.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope. a couple people i couldnt care less about did tho.

Did anyone close to you die?
No. My great-grandad did tho. but i didnt know him. i felt bad for my dad and my nanny though

What countries did you visit?
Greece. I also went to Brighton for the first time, but thats just a different city... xD

What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Inspiration and Motivation. a few decent friends wouldnt hurt either.

What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
the 1st of January... it was the best start to a year ive ever had <3

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I guess that A grade. Im not that good at achieving, if you cant tell. =\

What was your biggest failure?
making too many bad decisions...

Did you suffer illness or injury?
nothin major.

What was the best thing you bought?
My DSLR <3

Whose behaviour merited celebration?
...Jade and Shaun for being there for me.

Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
A couple people who i thought were better friends to me than they are, apparently.

Where did most of your money go?
Petrol, and i dont even drive! XD Train fares and helpin pay for petrol for Toby's bike.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Toby moving in for summer XD which was awesome.

probably The Killers - Sam's Town :3

Happier or sadder? A little sadder. Ive got no directive.
Thinner or fatter? fatter...? but im still underweight XD
Richer or poorer? Richer. Got more of my own hard earned cash, and my familys better off now as we paid off our mortgage in december

What do you wish you’d done more of?
...anything remotely productive, tbh.

fretting, and avoidance.

How did you spend Christmas?
at home with mum, dad, brother and sister, grandma, aunty and Toby. and Lala. XD

Yes!

I didnt really watch any tv up until about the last few months. then im sad to say, The X Factor xD

No.

What was the best book(s) you read?
umm. I havent really read this year. Ive half finished a lot of books... OH. The best book ive been reading tho, is my tombstone sized book on Pixar. Its fucking amazing.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
I havent heard much thats new this year, but probably Sia. I just got her album "Some people have real problems" a couple weeks ago. Shes great, go have a listen on her myspace or something.

What did you want and get?
DVDs, money, a permanent job, Bike stuff (helmet, jacket, gloves) and le DSLR. oh, and a relationship. w00p.

What did you want and not get?
inspiration. SRSLY. that son of a bitch is illusive. also i wanted more hours at work, but nooooo.

What were your favourite films of this year?
WALL*E and The Dark Knight, thats a bit of a no brainer, right? If its not, it should be. ¬¬

What did you do on your birthday?
Went to work, then spent the evening with my family and toby. It was simple but lovely.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If people were more reliable.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Ripped. (my favourite jeans have tears across both knees and one arse cheek, but thats not stopping me from wearin them bitches.)

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Nobody.

What political issue stirred you the most?
Credit crunch i guess, and the american election. Poor Woolworths, tho. But thank fuck the democrats are in.

Who did you miss?
Toby alot of the time (long distance are tough ;__; ) and my cousins who i dont see enough of anymore.

Who was the best new person you met?
All the girls and guys at work, really. I feel more at home with them than the people ive known for years. how depressing.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
Always listen to your heart and be faithful to it.
You cant trust anyone to actually care, so dont be surprised when someone abandons you.
A low wage job doesnt mean a bad job.
